Dayton, OH to Columbus, OH Route

Adapted from research by Terry Michaels and Paul Zawada

Stations

Description

These stations sites formed a three-hop microwave radio route, established in 1950 to carry network television programming from Dayton to Columbus. The television programs arrived at Dayton over a coaxial-cable link from Toledo, a station on AT&T's first transcontinental microwave route. The New York - Chicago segment of that route began service in September 1950. These routes are shown on a 1950 broadband route map.
