Princeton, IA

This is a picture of the access road leading east up the hill to the Princeton, Iowa tower which is located about three miles northwest of the town of Princeton, and is the first tower west of the Mississippi River on the original transcontinental microwave radio relay route. As was the case for many engineering projects after World War II, reliability was paramount: this little road is blacktop paved and has guard rails.
