A 1979 route map shows that Mount Vaca was a microwave relay station between Berryessa and Mt. Diablo.
Signage in the station indicates an additional destination of St. John, which isn't shown on the 1979 map.
St. John may not have been in service at the time the map was drafted, or it may have been a local Bell Operating Company route.
