Champaign, IL

Champaign's steel-lattice tower supports a mix of Western Electric KS-15676 horn-reflector antennas, conical horn-reflectors and high-performance parabolics.

A 1970 route map shows Champaign having microwave paths going east to Collison, south to Tuscola, west to Weldon and northwest to Saybrook, IL. As a junction point for several radio paths, Champaign was most likely a "main station" with protection switching and maintenance functions.
